Relax and reset your energy with Brittny in our head spa, where she has curated a serene space designed to assist in melting away your stress through your crown. Whether you have specific concerns you’d like relief from, or if you just need to unwind, this is where you want to be.
Each head spa session begins with a consultation, which includes magnified scalp images allowing for proper analysis. From there, Brittny, our head spa technician, will explain the treatments she has chosen to be used throughout your service based on your scalp’s individual needs. During this time, she can answer any questions you may have.
The service portion of the session will start with an oil application and scalp massage to soften buildup, followed by a double cleansing, a custom scalp treatment concluding with a velvety micro steam and deep conditioning masque to soften and hydrate your ends and deeply nourish your scalp.
During your treatment, you will be tucked into our fully reclining shampoo bowl chair with a soothing eye mask, relaxing meditation music and soft lighting, to just melt your stress away. Please disclose allergies prior to day of appointment. Blowdry/Style not included- must be booked separately.

This option is perfect for those who want to decompress, but don’t have all day! Unwind in our private spa room and enjoy every gently curated step of our signature session and leave feeling refreshed.
45 minutes- $105
Our mid length option is a great way to unplug and treat yourself. Every relaxing step of our signature session is extended by a few minutes to further deepen the relaxation. Want to squeeze a bit more self care into your day? This one is for you.
60 minutes $160
This stand alone head spa session is our longest option and is an absolutely magical way to spend an hour. Luxuriate in each prolonged step of our signature head spa, and set your worries on the shelf for awhile.

It’s the ultimate indulgence in self care here at ALT Beauty Co. This service starts out with a 30 minute mini facial (a double cleanse of the skin, toning, a hydrating masque and light touch facial massage), followed by our 60 minute signature head spa session. Trust when we say, there is no better way to spoil yourself than with 90 minutes of rejuvenation to reset your whole mood.

Shorter than our signature sessions, and without the fuss of water or styling, these options are a quicker, easier way to sneak in some you time.
Wind down in our private spa, with the choice to either be tucked under a banket in our reclining head spa chair, or a forward facing upright massage chair. Enjoy a soothing eye mask and gentle music while we use manual scalp manipulation techniques and tools, alongside Brittny’s intuition to guide you to drift into that place between awake and asleep.

What is Reiki?
Reiki is a Japanese technique used for relaxation and stress reduction, that also promotes healing. Reiki is based on the idea that an unseen ‘life force energy” flows through us and all living things. If one’s life force energy is low, then you are more likely to get sick or feel stress. If one’s life force energy is high, we are more capable of being happy and healthy.
During a Reiki session, the practitioner will lay or hover hands over your body. You may feel a variety of things during energy work; from warmth or tingling, to lightness, or some people even fall asleep!
Reiki is a safe, natural and simple form of spiritual healing and self improvement that anyone can use. It has been found effective in helping people to cope with the symptoms of many known illnesses and maladies. It works well as a compliment to other therapeutic or medicinal practices to help promote both physical and mental/emotional recovery.

For $205 per month, either;
One 90 minute Deluxe head spa service with mini facial and complimentary dry bar blowdry, OR
Two 45 minute head spa services with complimentary dry bar blowdries.

We believe the best practice is to schedule your head spa appointment to coincide with a removal/reinstall of your extensions.
Let us take out your extensions then you enjoy the head spa while your extension hair is being prepped and then have a blowout and your reinstall afterwards.

No.
Here’s why; while there are some hair coloring services that could be okay when done the same day as a head spa service, as they are technically off scalp services (like foiling or balayage), there is still a higher risk for sensitivity when putting color of any kind on a freshly manipulated and exfoliated scalp. Since most lightening services require a gloss, and any root retouches or root to end colors would be applied to the scalp, the chances of you experiencing sensitivity or reaction to the color are higher, and we prefer to book separate days for these appointments.
Similarly, if you have color on your scalp prior to receiving the service, it could cause increased sensitivity to the service itself or the products used throughout the duration of it. Not to mention, it could cause the color to fade prematurely, and we want to protect your investment!

Not unless you book one! Bowdry/stye is not included in a head spa session. If you would like or need one, please be sure to schedule that with one of our stylists or assistants afterwards!

Yes. While we do not recommend having color done the same day, it is safe to have a head spa with color treated hair.

At this time, we have one private head spa room and are only able to accommodate one client at a time.

Yes! We can service locs as long as they are maintained enough that your scalp is accessible for cleansing and conditioning (meaning your roots are relatively sectioned still).

Not right away. We do not recommend having a head spa treatment while your color is fresh. There is a lot of cleansing and manipulation of the hair that takes place during an appointment that will almost certainly fade the color if it is super fresh. We advise coming when your color is almost due to be refreshed, and just that you keep in mind it may look slightly lighter leaving the service than when you arrived.

Yes, there is no age limit for this service. However, we do ask that your child is old enough to answer questions and sit through the duration of the appointment. Parents are welcome to sit in the room as well if that helps!
